BROCKHAMPTON: Concert Review

Riley Galasso, Music Beat

Thursday, November 1, 2018, Fillmore Auditorium

On Thursday, November 1, 2018, boyband BROCKHAMPTON paid a visit to the Fillmore Auditorium. Many fans including myself saw one of the lead singers, Kevin Abstract, leave through the back to  get Wendy’s before the show started while waiting in line.

The crowd really ranged in ages. The show allowed all ages to attend so people from 14  to 30 year old’s attended the concert having a good time to see their favorite band.

The band started off at nine p.m., and played until approximately 10:30 p.m. It opened with one of their newest hits off of Iridescence, WEIGHT. Following this, they mixed in many of their older songs such as BLEACH and SWEET, fan favorites.

At the start of almost every song, one of the performers would say “open the pit,” referring to a mosh pit. That was pretty much the style of the whole concert, so it’s not for everyone. It was either jump with the crowd, or get lost in it. It was very easy to get to the front though, especially if you’re short.

Overall, this concert was really fun and so impressive. If this is your scene, I highly recommend seeing them once they tour again, or other similar artists, such as Tyler the Creator. I give my experience a 10/10.
