When it was announced that Lebron James had signed with the LA Lakers, fans went into an uproar. Personally, I just laughed. While they still followed him and bandwagoned onto the Lakers, Lebron fans were skeptical at the choice James had made. Rightly so as the Lakers haven’t been doing to well.

With multiple losses, both at home and as guests, the team has proven to be weak. Not even Lebron has been able to carry them. They’ve had their moments, but they have lost to some of the weakest teams such as the Knicks, the Kings, the Grizzlies, the Nets and many more. While he was the Cavs, James made it to 4 back to back finals which is better than where he is going with the Lakers right now. While they might make it to the playoffs, there are too many teams that are superior to them such as the Golden State Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs for the Lakers to get to the semi finals.

The question that Lebron James’ bandwagon fan base have been asking since he switched teams appears to have been answered. Yes. Lebron has made a mistake in switching from a team that took him to the finals to a team that may or may not even carry him to the playoffs. Guess it’s time to say goodbye to the “King’s” (king he never was and king he no longer shall ever be) NBA finals presence.

The idea that the Lakers have a bad record is weaker than Steph Curry’s ankles, or MCL, or whatever part of his tiny man-child body is currently injured. The King will be there for all 82, and the Lakers will win more than the 37 they won last year, easily sliding into the playoffs and into contention for the championship. Although they might not win it and could very well lose to the Warriors in the playoffs, LeBron’s decision to join the Lakers is already looking better than staying with the Cavs, who are spending more time at the bottom of the standings than a crustacean does at the bottom of the ocean. LeBron is the GOAT.
