Fall Baking Recipes: Halloween & Thanksgiving Treats

Chocolate chip cookies:
Wanna have a nice warm dessert after a cold day? Chocolate cookies are the way to go…
- 8 tablespoons salted butter
- ½ cup white sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsps vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 ½ cups of flour
- 4 tsps salt
- ½ cup chocolate chips
Directions: preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Using an electric mixer beat the butter with sugars until creamy
- Add vanilla and eggs until fluffy
- Then add all the dry ingredients
- Roll dough into 12 large balls and place on cookie sheet
- Bake for 9 to 11 min and let cool on pan for 30 min
Nutella cookie cups:
If you want something a little bit extra than just a regular cookie try baking this:
- Cookie dough
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsps vanilla extract
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Pinch of salt
Filling-
- ¾ to one jar of Nutella
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Mix butter and sugar in bowl until light and fluffy
- Beat eggs and vanilla
- In a separate bowl mix all dry ingredients
- Mix both dry and white ingrediants together
- Roll dough into balls 1.5 inches thick
- Place in muffin tin
- Bake for 10 to 12 min
- Remove from oven and use a small glass to press your baked cookies down as soon as they come out of the over to form a pool like shape in cookie
- Add 1 tbsp Nutella to each cup
- Let cool for 15 to 20 min in pan

Rice krispie treat pumpkins…MMM!
Halloween special:
These treats are a great way to get into the halloween spirit, they’re also quite yummy
Rice krispie treat pumpkins:
- 6 cups Rice krispies
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 large bag of marshmallows (approximately 40 marshmallows)
- Red and yellow food coloring
- Mini rolos
- Green m&ms
- ¼ cup cooking oil
Directions
- In a large pot melt the butter over low heat
- Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted and combined with butter
- Remove from heat, add several drops of yellow and red food coloring until you reach your desire color
- Add rice krispie treats and stir to combine
- Roll the rice krispie into small balls
- While balls are still warm gently press a mini rolo into the top of each pumpkin for stem, then green m&m for leaf
- Cool for 20 min
Halloween candy bark:
Want a spooky treat that tastes good also, this dessert is perfect for that:
- 2 cups pretzels twists or rods
- 3 cups chocolate chips or chocolate candy melts
- 2 cups assorted candies broken into bite sized pieces
- 13 edible eyeballs (optional)
Directions
- Create single-layer of pretzels on parchment-lined baking sheet
- Melt chocolate chips in microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute at 50 percent power
- Pour chocolate on top of pretzels. Carefully spread on top to create layer
- Place candy and edible eyeballs on top
- Store in freezer until ready to enjoy if using chocolate. Store at room temperature in airtight container if containing candy melts
