The Brooklyn Nets are exceeding everyone’s expectations this season with the number 7 seed in the East. Last season their record was 28-54 the season is not over and they already have improved to a record of 35-33 for the 18-19 season.
The team really need their young star, D’Angelo Russell, to step up and lead the team. This season he is averaging 20.4ppg, 3.6reb, and 6.8ast. He’s not the only one leading the charge with their guard-center combo in Jarrett Allen averaging 11.2ppg, 6.9reb, 1.5blks. Another player the Nets have utilized is their shooting guard combo in Caris Levert 14.4ppg, 4.0reb, and 3.7 assists and Sharp Shooter this seasons 3pt contest champion Joe Harris 13.6ppg, 3.6reb, and 2.5ast.
The Brooklyn Nets have a nice young core and have the talent to make the playoffs this season. However, if the playoffs where to start right now, they would have to play the Raptors in the first round which would ultimately result in a first-round loss. The Nets key to success is to make the playoffs this season to give their young stars confidence and then during the offseason bring in another superstar to help take some of the load off of D’Angelo Russell to help give the Nets the push they need to be a powerhouse in the Eastern Conference.
