R.I.P. Stan Lee: The Internet Reacts to the Death of Mr. Marvel
November 14, 2018
Stan Lee passed away on November 12th, 2018. Stan Lee was a great guy that created Marvel and all of the heroes that we know and love today: Thor, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Black Widow, Loki, Odin, Captain America, Bucky Barnes, Hulk, Hawkeye, Heimdall, Iron-Man, Doctor Strange, etc.
His cameos in the Marvel movies were loved by everyone, but personally my favorite was his cameo in Black Panther when he grabbed T’Challa’s chips that he won from Craps because T’Challa had to leave. I thought that that cameo was a funny one (even though all of his cameos are funny) Obviously everybody is very sad about Stan Lee’s passing but his legacy will live on and his characters are so iconic.
Stan Lee also has a very good amount of quotes from the Marvel comics and movies that he is known for, I will display some of them. (I got these quotes from goodreads.com) “HULK SMASH”, “For men must never feel a cause is hopeless–men must never feel an enemy cannot be beaten”, “Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.” These are just some of Stan Lee’s great quotes that he came up with.
Many celebrities are saying their condolences, “Sad, sad day. Rest In Power, Uncle Stan. You have made the world a better place through the power of modern mythology and your love of this messy business of being human…” The “Hulk” actor Mark Ruffalo, via Twitter. “I owe it all to you… Rest In Peace Stan… #MCU #Excelsior #legend #rip #stanlee #TeamStark” — “Iron Man” actor Robert Downey Jr., via Instagram.
“There will never be another Stan Lee. For decades he provided both young and old with adventure, escape, comfort, confidence, inspiration, strength, friendship and joy. He exuded love and kindness and will leave an indelible mark on so, so, so many lives. Excelsior!!” — “Captain America” actor Chris Evans, via Twitter.
These are all tweets from Marvel actors saying their condolences to Stan Lee. Stan Lee is a legend and his legacy will live on. R.I.P. Stan Lee.
